A dance/movement workshop guided by live cello.
falsch gmbh invites participants to immerse themselves into the artistic foundation of the collective’s work by encountering the symbiotic relationship between live music and contemporary dance. Movers engage in a wide array of individual, pair, and group exercises, ranging from sensation-based, intuition-driven discovery to detailed choreographic exploration. Through varying tempos, moods, and movement qualities, falsch gmbh creates a playscape for experimenting with leadership, where cellists and movers alternate in guiding each other’s expression. In doing so, participants sense the resonance of music echoing through their bodies and experience how the presence of their movements can impact the musicians’ improvisational choices.The workshop by falsch gmbh is both an invitation to encounter the complex and symbiotic relationship between live music and contemporary dance and an insight into the artistic foundation of the collective’s work.
The format is open to movers and/or dancers of all skill and experience levels and can be adapted to suit the needs of different participant groups. The workshop is taught in English.

Der Tanz- und Bewegungs-Workshop der falsch gmbh ist eine Einladung, die vielfältige symbiotische Beziehung zwischen Musik und zeitgenössischem Tanz zu erleben und ermöglicht einen tiefen Einblick in das künstlerische Fundament des Kollektivs. Die Teilnehmenden lernen die intensive Erfahrung der Resonanz von live Musik und Cello-Schwingungen im eigenen Körper kennen und spüren, inwieweit ihre Bewegungen wiederum die Musik beeinflussen.
Während des Workshops werden Paar-, Gruppen- sowie individuelle Übungen vermittelt, die von Improvisation bis hin zum Erlernen kurzer choreografischer Sequenzen reichen. Stets im Zentrum: die Interaktion mit den Musikerinnen. Dabei erhalten die Teilnehmenden die Gelegenheit, sich in unterschiedlichen Tempi, Stimmungen und Bewegungsqualitäten auszuprobieren und auszudrücken. Sie treten in aktiven Dialog mit der Musik, lassen sich mal führen und übernehmen an anderer Stelle selbst die Kontrolle, indem sie den Cellistinnen motorische Impulse geben.
Das Workshop-Format richtet sich an Interessierte aller Erfahrungsstufen und kann je nach Bedarf angepasst werden. Der Workshop wird in englischer Sprache unterrichtet.
